Pay Alert Notifications

With the Pay Alert enhancement to Domestic Banking, beneficiaries will receive notifications via either SMS, Fax or Email when a SSVS and / or SDPS payment has been initiated and such Pay Alert details have been provided. The system has been enhanced to cater for the capturing of beneficiary Pay Alert details in the following way:

When the ‘Pay Alerts’ button is clicked, a popup is displayed with 2 fields.

A ‘Pay Alert Type’ drop-down menu which has the following selection:

  • SMS
  • Email
  • Fax
The Pay Alert Destination field which is enabled only when a 'Pay Alert Type’ is selected. This field requires the following information based on the 'Pay Alert Type':
  • Cell phone number for an SMS alert, or
  • Email address for an EMail alert, or
  • Fax number for a Fax alert
Note: A Pay Alert notification is not a confirmation that a payment has been successfully processed. It is merely an indicator that a payment has been initiated.
