Cut-off times - Payments

Depending on the service you have selected, your transactions will be effected by various cut-off times. By referencing the following table, please ensure that you are aware of the relevant cut-off times for the different services. The time at which the transaction takes place will effect the date on which the funds will appear in the account to which they have been transferred.

There are two events to consider, namely, the SIGHT DATE and the VALUE DATE.

SIGHT DATE refers to the date from which the funds will be available in the account.

VALUE DATE refers to the date on which the account to which the funds have been transferred will reflect the fact that the funds have been deposited into that account.

General Note:

‘High Volume’ batches greater than 3000 need to be processed by 15h00. Processing after 15h00 might result in partial processing of batches or unsuccessful processing.

Next Day Pay Service transactions should not be released after 16h00 as this will cause the payment to be processed via the Two Day Service.
