TPFA Guarantee Screen
The TPFA Guarantee screen displays guarantees that are associated with an agent.
This screen provides a facility to allow a user to filter guarantees by their status and within specified dates. The screen contains a data grid which lists guarantees associated with the agent, check boxes for filtering guarantees and buttons for user actions.
The following are displayed on the TPFA Guarantee screen:
Filter By
This section allows the user to filter guarantees according to status and date
- Status
Each status is associated with a check box and used by the user to filter guarantees associated with the agent on the system. The user may filter guarantees by ticking the appropriate check boxes.
- Date From
The starting date where the guarantees are to be displayed.
- Date To
The final date up to which the guarantees will be displayed.
Data Grid
The following fields are displayed on the grid and are properties of a guarantee:
- Client Ref
The client reference that is captured by the user to identify the client associated with the guarantee. May be blank.
- Account Name
The name of the underlying TPFA account that is used or going to be used for the issue of the guarantee.
- Account Number
The account number of the underlying TPFA account that is used or going to be used for issuing the guarantee.
- Guarantee Number
The guarantee number is a unique identifier assigned to a guarantee once it has been issued. Only guarantees that are in issued, cancellation approved, cancellation requested, cancelled, payment approved, payment requested or paid-out status may have a guarantee number. For any other status, this field will be blank.
- Maximum Amount
The maximum amount the guarantee payout can accumulate up to. This value is calculated by the system according to user supplied interest clauses and guarantee amount. The user could also specify an amount to cap the guarantee payout. The guarantee fee is excluded in this amount.
- Total Amount Payable
Total amount payable is the amount that the beneficiary will be paid if the guarantee was instructed to be paid-out in the current day. For guarantees in paid-out or cancelled status, this value will be zero.
- Previous Day Balance
The ‘previous day balance’ is the amount that was retrieved from the bank’s system in the previous evening. It is not a real-time value.
- Issue Date
The issue date applies to guarantees that have been issued, cancelled or paid-out. This field reflects the date that the guarantee was issued by the bank on behalf on the TPFA Agent. For other statuses, the ‘issue date’ field will be blank.
- Status
Displays the current status of the guarantee.
- Guarantee Reference
This is the guarantee reference entered by the user that may be used to reference other guarantees or general information about the guarantee. May be blank.
Buttons:
The following buttons are available to the user to perform actions
Button used to display filter results based on user supplied criteria (status, date from and date to fields will be required).
Allows the TPFA agent to create a draft version of a guarantee. i.e. create a new guarantee
This button will open the ‘Request Guarantee’ screen displaying guarantee details and allows the user to approve or release a guarantee for issue. This button is only enabled if the user has the ‘Request’ user rights on the system.
This button will open the ‘Pay Guarantee’ screen displaying guarantee details and allows the user to approve or release the guarantee for payment. This button is only enabled if the user has the ‘Pay’ user right on the system.
This button will open a ‘Maintain Guarantee’ screen displaying guarantee details that can be edited. Guarantees in ‘draft’ status will be editable. Guarantees in other statuses will result in the screen displaying disabled fields.
This button will open the ‘Cancel Guarantee’ screen displaying guarantee details and allows the user to approve or release the guarantee for cancellation. This button is only enabled if the user has the ‘Cancel’ user right on the system and the status of the guarantee must be ‘issued’.
This button will allow the user to open a ‘Print Preview’ screen that will display the guarantee in a template populated with user entered guarantee details.
This button will close the ‘TPFA Guarantee’ screen.
This button will display the help files for the ‘TPFA Guarantee’ screen.
Generic Functions
By placing the cursor over the data grid and clicking the right mouse button, the context menu with four options (Search, Export, Print grid and Select All) will be displayed. Clicking on the respective buttons will result in the following:
- Search
Allows user to search for a guarantee by supplying a specific criteria.
- Export
Allows user to export guarantees on the data grid to a file.
- Print Grid
Allows user to print the data grid displaying all the guarantees.
- Select All
Selects all the guarantees that are displayed on the grid.
By clicking on any other area of the TPFA Guarantee screen besides the data grid, a context menu with one option (Close) will be displayed. Clicking on the button will result in:
The TPFA Guarantee window will be closed.
Sorting
The grid displaying guarantee information may be sorted in ascending order according to the fields listed in the ‘Data Grid’ section. This can be achieved by clicking on the relevant heading. For example if guarantees are to be sorted according to the total amount payable then click on the ‘Total amount payable’ header. The guarantees that are currently displayed will be sorted in ascending order.
